Hi, i have a 97 chevy 1500 silverado with a 5L 305 about to sieze up, it has a crankshaft bearing problem. My gf dad has some friends at chevy that said they would drop a brand new 305 in it, installed, for $2000. I kinda want a bigger engine though with a deeper sound and more power. What would be some of the factors of putting a larger size engine in my truck, cost, extra parts, etc? my trucks a ck1500 3door v8 .305
the only after market parts i have on it are a flow master exhaust, and regeard differential.
THanks guys, I know itll cost me prolly a little more but if there small modifications involed in installing the engine then i, gona ask for a 454 to be dropped in instead of an other 305.
