Dropped in a brand new transmission and got a 97 Civic driving for the first time since January 2007. New transmission, spark plugs, wireset, cap and rotor, thermostat, antifreeze, oil and filter, PS fluid, brake fluid.
Now when it starts, it idles at 1600 rpms, then after 3 minutes of running, then the RPM meter falls down to 800 then climbs up to 2400 within three seconds then drops off. It just keeps cycling this.
Any ideas? Again this car hasn't been driven in three years before today June 27.
