I have a 1999 Buick Lesabre. Up until a week ago the car was running fine. One day I got stuck in the snow and I accelerated to get out. Once I did my car jerks forward when it switches gears as I accelerate. I checked the transmission fluid and it was a bit low so I added some. The problem still remains.
A day after or so I was driving and my car suddenly locked up. I checked my dashboard and my oil pressure gauge was all the way low. The little red light came on. I turned the car off and then back on and it ran normal, with the car still jerking when it switches gears. The day after the car locked up on me again. After that the check engine light came on. I checked the oil level it was fine, the transmission fluid level was fine too. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. The car drove fine after that and the check engine light went off.
Just yesterday the car locked up on me again. I turned it off and back on and its fine. I don't know if the transmission and oil problems may be related. What can the problem be?
The last oil change was done in late July when I had to repair the intake manifold.
