3 days ago my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport started for a few seconds then shut off. I then turned the ignition key and had to hold it longer to start. Then later while driving around 60kps (40 MPS) and higher, I heard a loud metal on metal grinding only while in drive and excelling. I brought my jeep to 2 mechanics, the first said it would cost $600 for parts + $450 for labor, and the 2nd said they didn't know what is was but could said there could be 6 different possibilities. I'm currently in Korea and they don't speak much English but they specialize in Chrysler vehicles. Does anyone have a better solution based off of my cars symptoms or know what parts I could buy to fix the problem?
