A couple of years ago my partner dropper her Dell Inspiron laptop and it became unusable. We salvaged the HDD from it and bought a 2.5" HDD Cady (a case to connect it to another PC via USB) - for those not familiar with the term Cady), it straight away didn't work. For some reason we never bothered doing anything about it, but here we are and she suddenly wants to get it going.
We have the HDD attached and screwed into the Cady which is powered by a USB to 5V DC cable and an addition USB cable between the Cady and a laptop (not the broken one lol). The laptop recognises that a device has been attached to it, to the extent of it installs the device drivers which in turn can be uninstalled (I've done this to try and reset the Cady), but it won't show up in MyComputer!!
Any idea's will be well appreciated
