What was Jem's reaction to Scout's show of emotion? and how does this tell us about Jem? Would you say that he tried to be nice to Scout because he knows she cares about Atticus and doesn't remind her that people nine years old didn't do things like that? and that he is becoming more mature like Atticus in ways of handling situations?
