my friend has a 2000 ford escort coupe that died in the parking lot we tried to push start it since it is a manual transmission the engine will run but none of the gages or electronic equipment will work and the car will not idle and putters regardless if you floor the pedal pushing on the pedal will keep the car running but nothing more the check engine light is also constantly blinking any help would be appreciated since he has to drive from texas to missouri this tuesday
