i open the drivers door? when i open the door the lights wont turn on but when i close and re open it they turn on fine?
if its the open door switch how do i get to it?
 
check for broken wire in left door hinge in rubber boot...open door and grab boot and wiggle it and check for change.....very common problem

Is the dome light the only problem that you are having? The first thing that I would try is the BCM (body control module) reboot procedure, Ensure that all accessories are off in the vehicle, Disconnect the battery cables for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes take both cables and rub them together a couple times and then reattach them back on the battery and tighten now try to operate the dome light by opening the door!
