2002 dodge ram 1500 sport 2wd w/4.7 engine problems and question!?

So the head gaskets went out and with that the cyl. heads also. Now i'm lookin into gettin another motor for it, but some say that only the 02's will fit in it, others say up to the the 05. so if somebody could help me out with this i would graetly appreciate it. THANKS

Easy. Take it to a Dodge dealership and see what they say. I forget the specs on what you would need for the 02'. I'm a diesel junky, so gasoline motors aren't my thing
