2002 Mazda Heater issues....?

I have a 2002 Mazda Protege5, one hour into my trip last night the heater stopped blowing hot air, it was cold but not as cold as if the a/c was on blowing high. The temp gauge still reads the same as when it was working correctly. I just do not where to start looking and how to start working.

probably the thermostat is acting up.

1st go too your local parts store,,find a repair book on your car then start reading it,,,do you good to know about what you drive even if your not the one fixing it.....
