Ok I took my Jetta on a small road trip to get a friend from college, (It was about to 2.5 hour trip, I kept it on cruise at 80 for the whole trip. Yesterday I went to drive it in town and it didn't feel as if the turbo was coming on at all. Then today I felt a little zip and heard the woosh but it did not stay on very long at all. I do drive very spirited and I love to have the turbo kick in when I shift. What could be causing it to act up? The car only has 78,000 miles on it. Could it be the belt? I don't think that has been changed in the life of the car..... Perhaps the belt could also be the cause of my intermittent alternator problem? (Occasionally the alt light blinks on and then goes right back out.)
