You have done something wrong. READ your manual. You must use only a genuine German filter and an oil that is rated for specification 502/505. You cannot use Wal-mart or Jiffy lube unless they PROVE to you they are using the proper oil. ALSO, be sure to use only fuel that meets "top tier" fuel formulas. You may have to have an engine de-sludge if you have NOT been doing things the right way. FOR GOD'S SAKE, READ the owner's manual 3-4 times until you understand what is happening. The engine in the A3 is VERY, VERY special. DO NOT RUIN IT from lack of knowledge!!! ABSOLUTELY NO VALVOLINE, EVER!!!!!!
