I'm looking at buying a 2006.5 Kia Optima LX. It's got the 4cyl. and 5-speed manual. I really like the way it drives, but I'm concerned with the reliability, particularly with the transmission/clutch. I've heard a lot that the Hyundai Elantra 5-speed manual is a major failure defect. Is that the case with the 5-speed Optima or is it actually good? The guy is selling it for a very good price and says nothing is wrong with it and everything works. I just don't want to encounter a failed clutch or transmission prematurely because of a junky design. What do you say?
