I drive a 2006 ford crown victoria police interceptor. My key will start just about any of the newer police crown vics in the country. Since the key is going to work on all the cars, could I legally sell the key?
I am self employed and legally licensed to sell within the State of which I live.
Can I put an ad on the radio that states something along these line?

I can get these keys made up pretty cheap. The only question I have is do you think the police departments and sheriff's departments arounnd me would be mad?? Since it's an original ford fleet key, they will start the newer crown vics. I know someone who services city & county police/sheriff vehicles, and my key worked on it hahah.
there's nothing in the state's statues that say you cannot sell used police equipment or fleet keys. if the police departments didn't like it, i don't think there's much they can do. They can't arrest becasue it's a completely civil matter of what i choose to sell in my business.
The only reason why the cops would be mad is because someoen could buy a key from me and then go steel a police car. My intension is just to make a profit on it. Please advise,

In the privacy of my office, I go on my website and add a Ford Fleet Key. In the product description I state that I am selling the key as a REPLACEMENT for anyone who lost theirs. I could state that the sale of this key does not encourage or promote the ideal theft of police vehicles. I could get my attorney to word it but you people have to understand that it is not ILLEGAL to sell police equipment. For example, you can go to advanced auto parts and buy a slimjim thingy to unlock cars. That could be used in a crime. Do you get what I"m saying???? Does anyone even i understand what it is that i'm saying now??
