2006 Lexus IS250 AWD...What does this mean?

I would wait to get it checked, but in the meantime, you can take it a local shop to check if fluids, tires, brakes are working okay. Just be careful and don't travel unless you need to.

oil,
water,
steering/clutch/brake fluid
some of the fluids may need to be topped up or the oil changed.
book your service as some dealerships dont do walk in services

I just purchased a certified 2006 Lexus IS250 AWD with 45,000 miles yesterday from Lexus. Today when I put my car in park I got a message that said "check system". What does this mean? I'm gonna take it to the dealership to get serviced, but I can't make it there till next week.

Your car's computer system has detected a fault, could be nothing could be serious.
Take a couple of minutes and stop by one of the major auto stores like AutoZone/PepBoys, if you can't make it to the dealer. They can scan your system for free and let you know what is going on.
Then take it from there.

It means that the computer on your vehicle has noticed something wrong... could be something small and stupid, could be big...
The only way to find out is to hook it up to a CEL (check engine light) reader. They will do this for free at Autozone and Checkers. They can tell you what the problem is. The car is certified, so I imagine it still has some kind of warranty remaining.

For now, I would say just make sure to check your fluids (oil, transmission, brake fluid) and check your tire pressure.
