I recently traded my 2003 Audi for a 2009 Audi A4. I test drove the car two different times before I talked numbers and made my purchase. The car is flawless exept for a few minor scratches on the back passenger side rim. Looks like some curb rash, which doesnt bother me. I know a used car isnt going to be perfect.

Everything was fine untill I took the car on the hour drive home on the highway. Once I got up to speed, I noticed a slight vibration. I called the dealer from the car but got no answer because it was now after 9pm. So, I drove it home and I was back at the dealer at 10 am the next morning. They said it was no problem and they would fix it immediatly. They said the tires were way out of ballance and now I should be all set. Well, once again on the way home, although not as bad, I still felt a slight vibration. This time when I called they set up an appointment for later in the week to look more in depth at the issue. So after the appointment, they came back and told me two of the rims were bend and that there is nothing they can do for me. The warranty does not cover things like that and as far as the rims and tires are concerned I purchased the car "as-is".

I asked if there was anything we could work out, like switch out these rims for one they get on trade, or maybe switch my rims with one that they are going to take to auction or something. I even offered for them to split the cost of two new rims. The general manager said he was going to work something up for me and give me a call back. That was 5 business days ago and ive called him 3 times and cannot get anywhere.

It there anything legally I can do. Ive had the car for over a week now. they did tell me they would make it right when I brought the car back to them the next day. I live in Illinois. Im not sure what to do here. Ive herd you can take the rim to a shop and have it bend back into shape. But I dont want to pay for that service. Is there a way to make the dealer fix it? Weather it be new rims or some kind of "deal"?

depends what you mean by "bent rim" out of true wheels render the car unroadworthy and you would have a case against them , impact damage on the rim of the wheel has likely caused suspension damage or misalignment and a damaged rim also renders the car dangerous to drive as the tire could deflate at any time, looks like you have been sold a lemon by a bunch of crooks the wheel was almost certainly on the front to be damaged and has been moved to the back
