2010 toyota corolla performance?

I got a 2010 toyota corolla last year and its an okay car but about gutless compaired to what i am use to driving. is there any way to boost up my power and Performance ? what would you recommend ? and if i go with a Performance Chip what ones are worth anything ?Not looking to make a race car but i want to have some balls in this car. Any ideas ?
 
The corolla is a mass produced car. Meant to be cheap and economical to own and run. If your talking about serious performance don't waste your time with chips and exhaust. Their was a early corolla called a sportivo with a 1.8 celica engine producing 40% more power. Source that engine and sell your engine since it is still new or better yet go to a engine price and get a trade in on yours for a 1.8 celica engine from a ZZR or sportivo corolla.
 
A) its a corolla so PLEASE dont use a loud exhaust, nitrous, etc.
B) ECU chip reprogram is the best
