So, my electric scooter just broke down as in, the batteries, and I have managed to get the micro-controller, throttle, motor, and chains out.
So, as you guessed, I want to motorize my MTB. My idea is to get those ugly rear cargo racks and put the battery and motor on it, then, the chain will go diagonally to the pedal assembly, and then it will turn the wheel! So now when I am not on the trail, I can just cruise.
Will that work?
It will actually improve traction up hills won't it? because I have more weight on the rear?
And my last question. I want to, just for fun, make one of old my Bikes 2WD, so I just want to run a chain from there onto the Pedal Assembly, so there are two chains there......... and that is where the problems start.
Anyone have ideas? (I have a welder)
And then, I just looked on the internet thinking I may have been on the path to invent a 2wd bike, but some bimbo named Christini has made a 2wd bike with the front wheel using a Shaft drive???? No chains???? Isn't that stuff on cars??
How did he do it?
