I am a U.S resident not a citizen. I have been asking a lot of questions about joining lately but a lot of jobs that I want require a security clearance because I am not a citizen so I cant get a lot of jobs in the electronic field like I wanted.

I hear alot of people are joining the military because of economy. I just got my green card and I want to get my school paid for. I want to have a career and while I am serving put my wife in school too. I don't want to make a career out of the military either. I just want to serve and get the benefits as well.

I just want to know if its better to join the Army get my tuition paid for when I get out of the military or play it safe and try to join the Air Force for 4yrs. I am young I have no kids just a wife. The way I see it If I don't join the military it will be a whole lot harder for me to go to school. Plus giving something back to this country is also something I want to do. Like I said before a lot of jobs require security clearance in the AF.

I just don't know which Branch I should join. I graduated from high school and I have no criminal records other then 2 speeding tickets and one with no insurance and all are paid for. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
