my parents are talking about going to chicago for maybe 5 days for a short family vacation this summer. it'll either be later june or late august depending if i get the job i applied for. it's just me and my parents going, we've been there once before but i was only 11 then and we went basically because my dad had a business trip and we turned it into a 3 day getaway. well i'm 16 this summer, don't really remember what we did our first trip there except for visiting the museums (aquarium, natural history, art) and that's about it. any more ideas of what to do? any festivals going on this summer? thanks!~
and we will be staying in a hotel downtown too

Navy Pier, Millenium Park, Sears or Hancock Towers observation decks, Lincoln Park and zoo, River walk, beaches, Lack front, Theater District, take an EL or Subway ride, etc

No idea...can you do me a favor while you are there though? if you get the chance, take a dump in the parking lot of Soldier field in the shape of the Green Bay Packers logo. Thats probably the most interesting thing you could do in all of Illinois anyways. Thanks!!! and sorry this wasnt much help.

Well i live just outside of Chicago and I can tell you, you should go to millennium Park and see the big bean and if you want to put on a swimming suit and sit in or around the little water park. I don't know how old you are but if you would want that is something to do. There is also lalapalooza in the summer. If you are into bands and concerts you should go. I don't know exactly when it is but it is in the summer in June possibly and the tickets go fast but are expensive. Like 200 something for a day pass per person. There is also always things like a cubs or whitesox baseball game. If you are into baseball. If you like plays or theater there are tons of plays and concerts in Chicago all the time. If you are a shopping person you could go to michigan avenue and shop for clothing or other things. And of course the planetarium, shedd aquarium and the field museum are all fun places to go to. I personally like the planetarium and the aquarium. Ant there is the Brookfield zoo if you like that. Hope that helped. Have fun.
