500cc Bikes, which one?

Hey whats up guys.
So i bought my first bike about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I took msf last october and for anyone contemplating riding a motorcycle, please take the course as well! Anywho, im coming up on 2,000 miles (yes i keep a record :P) It is a gs500f, and i love the thing. What i was actually thinking about doing was trading for a different 500cc just to get a feel for different bikes. I am not going to move up yet to a 600cc class until i hit 5-6k+ so i was just thinking about trying out different styles of bikes, and most notably the brands. Any thoughts on some good bikes? ninja, buell blast? or is the gs one of the better of the 500's. Thanks for the input, hope to see you on the road :)

The Ninja 500, the GS500, and the stone axe all share common traits.

With 2k in the saddle you might look at a Ninja 650R, or the Versys, the FZ6, or maybe a motard. Bandits are fun little bikes. I think Honda still offers the CB600.

You are wise to stay away from R class bikes. The bikes I've mentioned here are fast, but not scary expert rider fast.

Wow, 2k in 3 1/2 weeks? I'm not sure I would waste my money moving laterally, one beginner bike to another. You want see that much difference between the EX and the GS.
