92 acura vigor struggling to rev, idles funny jus replaced valve cover

gasket,head unit reads failure? acura vigor 5 cylinder manual.there was an electrical noise coming from the drivers side close to the fuse box like a short, for about 5 seconds .the noise came on after the car was running>car shakes and struggles at any rpm, even at idle >mostly at idle.Stereo reads failure but it works when the volume is turned up>thermostat needs to be changed. no check engine light comes on

there is a short, but the idle is caused by either the air filter being clogged, or a sensor needs replaced. most likely idle sensor. or throttle position sensor.
