'93 BMW 740iL Squeeky Door?

I have a '93 BMW 740iL. Great car with 224K original miles. The rear passenger door now groans when I open or shut it. WD40 hasn't helped. There is some rust on the hinge. If I remove it with fine-grain sandpaper, the rust will just come back. Any solutions?
