...greatly appreciated.? My vehicle off and on has not been starting. Sometimes it starts up just fine and other times when i turn the key either the engine turns over but doesn't start or the engine fires up and the car dies about a second later. A mechanic suggested that it may be the distributor and someone else told me a plugged fuel line.
The mechanic I took it to who suggested it was the distributor said he tried a bunch and couldn't get it to not start. After I got it back from him it started up fine for several days until one day when I left an ipod cable plugged into the radio overnight. The next morning my vehicle would not start. For a while I assumed that that may have been what was causing it until recently. Now my car is not starting sometimes, even when I am sure to leave my ipod disconnected from my car radio.
A little after I have had these problems my radio has started to make a clicking noise through the speakers. I am not sure whether or not these problems are related
Any help given would be greatly appreciated. I am an unemployed college student and do not have the money to be taking it to mechanics constantly who can't point out the problem for sure.
