96 Cadillac Deville Stalling?

I purchased a 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville 2 days ago. Driving it home, my husband & I realized that it stalls when coasting, usually at/under 25mph. The RPMs drop under 600 if you don't have your foot on the gas and it just shuts down. It never stalls if you are at a full stop, for instance at a stop light, or if the car is in park.

The oil light comes on right when this happens, but we checked the oil and it is full & clean.

We asked about this problem at an auto parts store & they said it could be the idle sensor, or throttle position sensor. Is this correct, and how much effort is required to fix it?

Seems like the transmission isn't downshifting, or the torque converter is unlocking when you are coasting. But that could be worst case scenario too. The Idle parts should be rather easy to replace. Costs not sure.
