98 dodge 2500 daytime running lights go out when e-brake is applied?

98 dodge 2500 5.9L cummins 24v turbo diesel mechanical engine
daytime running lights go out when e-brake is applied
also abs and e-brake light stays on from start up
i changed the rear wheel speed sensor and it didn't change anything. my speedo still works fine.

That's the way it is designed, in case you want to idle in park, as in waiting for some one. or needing to work on it with the key on.
