99 bmw E46 auto trans?

I just bought this car and the dealer has had the auto trans replaced anyway when its cold in the mornings and i start it up put it in gear and try to go the motor just reves up and the car will bairly pull itself untill it warms up

Have the fluid level checked. There's no dipstick. Have to open the fill hole to check.
