A bell is ringing inside of a sealed glass jar that is connected to a vacuum pump.?

A. as the vacuum pump removes the air, there are fewer and fewer particles inside the jar that will transfer the sonic vibrations to the jar walls then from the jar walls to the air outside the jar then to your ear. i.e. "no one can hear you scream in outerspace".
 
Initially, the jar is filled with air. What does one hear as the air is slowly removed from the jar by the pump?

c) the frequency of the sound from the bell gradually decrease
