*First off I am not a BYB all of my dogs are registered*
I have just a couple questions. My female had her pups on the 2nd of April. They are currently 5 weeks old. I have already had them deformed 2x, and they will be reviving their 7in1 next Monday. My female had a litter of 10, (in which comes my first question) out of the 10 she had she killed 6 of them. Not quite sure why. I have bred before but have never had this problem. So my first question is what reasons would have caused her to do that. Now the second question is that I have the remaining 4 pups weaned off and she is starting the process of drying up. But she is underweight horribly. You can count every rib, as well as her hip bones are showing. She is getting fed a well balanced diet. (Diamond high performance 46grams of protein per cup) she is being fed 2x a day 3 cups each feeding. But she looks horrible. Also the hair on the back end surrounding her tail is balding. I have been treating that with a sulfur med. Prescribed by our vet. They also said that a raw egg added to her food would help her weight. But it seems like its not working. So, my next question is what else can I do to help her weight ? Final question, the remaining pups eyes have changed from that pearl blue color that you see from the first day that their eyes open but one. The color is staying on that one pup, so my question is will that one pups eyes stay like that?
My breed is American Pitbull. Blue female 1 and 1/2 yrs old. First time being bred.
Thanks for the replys.
