...problem but won't own up? where or who can I go to above the dealership to get this solved for me, GMC didn't properly diagnois my problem, didn't check the codes at all, did do any other testing for the noise I was hearing, tech just said it was transfer case, so they fixed that, then tells me its also my transmission, I don't believe anything was ever wrong with the transfer case, it would make clunking noises when it would shift into 2nd, they have agreed to not charge me for the 5 labor hours for R and R for the transfer case that I bougt used from LKQ. Not charging me the labor hours pretty much admits to their fault, they never ran any line pressure test on transmission. They said it would be 8 labor hours for the transmission. If I get one that they have already serviced and they just take out and install a rebuilt one, should I be charged the labor hours of the rebuild. I sort of want them to credit me the 250.00 I spent on the transfer case and put it toward the transmission. I want to go up there and drive it and see if its still not making the clunking noise once it shifts into second gear. I just wonder who is over local Gmc dealerships to make some complaint, thats why I take it and pay more for the dealership to get proper diagnoisis its a 1997 z71, if i was aware of the transfer case and transmission problem initially it could have made me have a different feeling about fixing it, dropping that kind of money in it, I could buy a whole nother truck. and have you ever heard of a transfer case and transmission going out at the same time, come on.

There is an old saying " The Squeaking Wheel gets the Oil" if you are that dissatisfied with the service you received I would go straight to GM and voice my complaint. Seance you went to a dealer specificity A Gm dealer the other old saying is "S!@# runs down hill. Hope this helps this is what I would do and have done in the past.

I think you should go get your truck and get out the door if those stupid bassholes pulled the transfer case out and put it back in, when the tranny was the problem, but hey, you got your transfer case r and r for almost nothing, I think I would go get my truck and tell them hillbilly buttsuckin stoopid loosers to keep their hands off my prized possesion.
