I wanted to say "yes! of course!" but my nervous system tragically conjured up a weird akward giggles/laughs and that killed the moment. How can life be that cruel?

Anyway, now he's ignoring me because he now thinks I laughed at him...

What to do? advice from mature men will be greatly appreciated.
 
I feel sorry for the guy, but it wasn't your fault. I would just write him a letter telling him the truth. maybe talking to him directly would hurt his man pride more lol
 
Men really aren't that hard. He likes you in the first place. Just go up to him and say "i really didn't mean to laugh, i was just shocked and nervous." then go into how you feel about him and arrange a date or something, and you're good to go.
 
impress him with your sexy looks and expose little bit and make him mad, he will run after you.Good luck.
