you mean bombardment? Consciousness is what you are, so you really can't do anything with what is in essence, you. It would be like trying to stand on your own shoulders.
Why would you want to block out or dodge the feeling of your existence?
I believe consciousness is a beautiful thing, although in that is not always friendly to our well-being. It can hurt, and it can seem to tear you down. You may feel that you actually don't want to feel at all.
But still, it shows you that you are.. alive. And pulling through even the hardest fits of consciousness will put you into a mindset when you come out of it that you are even more so alive than you were before it started.
You have gained an achievement in your new-found awareness, and who doesn't like to feel accomplished?
It shows you more of yourself, of what you need and want. You learn to understand what you are, and what you are capable of.
You must make things right to a point of acceptance. You won't be able to bear the self recriminations unless you live true to your beliefs. So my answer is if you can't block it and you didn't dodge it there may be no counter-attack either simply get rid of or change the things that are not allowing you peace of mind.
