I have no idea how to answer this after I've spent many minutes trying.

A particle is moving along the parabola y = x^2 - 5x - 6 such that the x-coordinate of its position at time t is a linear function of t, i.e.:

x = a(t) + b for some constants a and b.

If, at time t = 2 the particle is at the point P(-5, 44), and at time t = 4 the particle is at the point P(-1,0), what is the position of the particle at time t = 6?
I have no idea how to even start it.
