Okay I am with Virgin Mobile and I just bought a BlackBerry Pearl 8100.
There are a few problems.
Firstly, after a while, and a couple of times a day, the connection is lost and I can only make emergency calls. This is rectified after restarting my phone. I have checked that it is inserted correctly and have cleaned the SIM card ("it says SIM card error" on the display).
Secondly, Virgin is apparently not compatible with BlackBerry, and I cannot enable WAP or MMS.
Thirdly, and I am not sure if this is related, my friends can detect me using BlueTooth but if they want to send songs etc., it says failed on their phones.
So my questions are:
How can I rectify the above problems?
If I need to change providers, who do you suggest? (Bearing in mind that I just use the normal "credit" pre-paid approach).
What is "pairing" in relation to BlueTooth?
How do I enable the "Maps" application to work?
As much information would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and also, when I play a preloaded ringtone, it plays but a message pops up saying: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCastException."
And even if you can only answer one of my questions that would be much appreciated.
