A question for Doctors, Nutritionists, and Professional Physical Trainers?

I couldn't try-out for my schools baseball team this year because I hurt my arm. So now, I'm getting ready for next season when I can actually throw. I talked to the coach and he said it would be a good idea if I got a real strong core. I read up on it and I found out that I need to lower my body fat percentage to at least 12% to even see my core muscles. My current body fat percentage is 13.9%. I'm currently following the abdominal work out sessions on Gilad's DVD, "Core And More." Do I NEED to do aerobic exercises as well? Or will doing "Core And More" be enough to lower my body fat percentage by 2-3%?

**Please answer ALL of my questions**
Thank You! :)
