A Roborovski Hamster In Need Of A Friend?

I have a male Robo dwarf hamster, Shiloh, who's just about six months old. He's not handled, due to the amount of stress it has caused him in the past, although he will take some food from your hand.

I've read over the internet that Robos are quite social creatures, so I'm thinking about getting him a friend (another Robo dwarf hamster) to share his cage with. Would this be safe, or would the two fight?
