Abortion is Wrong

Yes but you said yours changed after it happened to you. Reproduction. I became even more pro choice after I had the pregnancy scares and I knew if it happened I will abort immediately.

I was pro choice before that though. I never did believe in forcing people to reproduce. Ever. Or forcing them to NOT reproduce. especially with reproduction, which are little tiny reproductive organs but can absolutely have a Hugh Jass effect upon someone`s life. and to think there are people who want to bann abortion. Some dont even believe in other birth control methods. Scary.

I agree, its awesome.

here`s another 1. We dont allow humans to take from each other`s bodies without permission. We arent even allowed to use the dead without their permission before they crossed the rainbow bridge or without permission from the family. So why should fetuses get something we dont have?

There was the mcfall vs shimp case.

and we

Oh It changed my view most certainly...but that was more a case of opening my mind rather than making the change definitive. Frankly I am still unsure and vascilate between mora, legal and egalitarian aspects

I am absolutley pro-choice, but with caveats...I think most people are the same just from even a cursory glance at teh boards

we dont force people to donate their organs. Here's a case where both parents did donate, but even if they said no (because its major surgery its not taken lightly) we cant force it on them.

But pro lifers wanna force birth and pregnancy on women O.o

What else would it be? I mean, speaking semantically it can't be, but what's wrong with just saying "I don't want a kid, ABORT, ABORT, ABORT."

Technically it is contraception, but if someone has to constantly have abortions I would suggest looking at alternative forms of contraception because it is not healthy.

Technically it cannot be contraception because contraception occurs before conception. What do you mean by 'is not healthy'?

It's a dangerous procedure, as is any surgical procedure. The risk of internal bleeding and infection is in no way trivial.

Not to mention the effect on psychological health.

I love how all the men are the ones talking the most about abortion. If we want to know about emotional effects of abortion, either be a woman or cite statistics to prove your point

The idea that some women are "addicted" to abortions is complete and utter drivel made by people who've never undergone one or seen a woman undergo one or had adequate training to understand how terribly invasive, painful, and emotionally traumatic the experience is. It always get toted out in these discussions and it's a bigoted myth.

Defying the cocktail of maternal bonding chemicals flooding the pregnant brain is intrinsically traumatic.

Or maybe just listen to partners/close friends who've had one?

The fact that I know 2 women who attempted suicide soon after an abortion rings some alarm bells for me. It's a tough decision, one that I've had to be a part of, and the guilt afterwards can be unbearable.

I'm not talking out of my arse.
