Ive had my Bonneville since June, and its now March. Have had NO problems with it and love the car. But here recently I've noticed that the security light has been coming on periodically. Now its been stuck in two parking lots. Ive checked the starter, its fine. Checked the neutral safety switch, its fine. Checked the battery, its fine. Reset the computer. Checked the key with the chip on it, and the other 3 that i have, they're all fine. The car WILL NOT start now. Ive tried numerous "tricks" to try to get it to start.
-1.) Locked the car with me in it, manually unlocked it to set off the alarm, and started it. It fired right up the first time i tried it but not since
-2.) Tried starting the car in neutral. It worked the first couple times i tried it, but not anymore.
-3.) Locked the car with me in it, unlocked it without opening the door, and it fired right up but only the first time i tried it.
-4.) Using the tilt wheel to put steering wheel in various positions and tried to start it (because ive read it online) and it never worked.
This is basically an SOS for ANYONE who has any idea about what it might be. My buddies dad is a mechanic and cant even figure it out. Help is VERY much appreciated!! Thanks for reading!!
