I work at a gym and we have something going on called “The Challenge.” I signed up for it to lose some weight and get in shape. We’re divided into 2 teams each led by one of our personal trainers. Each week we have to get one point for our team, and each point consists of (2) Mind-body segments (yoga or pilates, both offered where I work) for at least 20 minutes in length, (2) Resistance training segments (can be done on own or in a variety of classes) for at least 20 minutes in length and (5) cardio segments at least 30minutes in length that can be fulfilled through a Zumba class, spinning, or using treadmill and other cardio equipment. All workouts must be done at the gym and signed off by staff.
Basically, you end up getting in everything you’re supposed to in a week and it’s motivation not to let your team down. I have been doing great and actually going beyond my points at times. I really enjoy working out and I tend to eat healthy with very few exceptions.
I have about a month and a half left of “Ultra Green Tea Lean” (which I bought to try and never had time to work out with it and devote enough to see results, so I saved it until I could do so)
I also have some acai supplements I purchased from Walgreens.
So I wonder – will either of these likely work better then the other to aid in my efforts to lose weight? Will they work well together? Will their effects be lessened if taken together? Or made greater?
