I was in a hurry and I needed just a few dollars of gas to get me to my dads house. I went to Chevon, which barely re-opened near my house, and accidentally put diesel fuel into my car. I didn't know it was a bad thing till I got to my dads house and told my dad what I did. He was surprised I even made it there. I had about 1/4 of a tank and put $5 which went to half a tank. My car usually takes $15 to fill.

So what do I do? Any suggestions :(

04 Toyota Corolla S-Type by the way.

thanks in advance!
The diesel pump is smaller than a regular gas pump but since it just re-opened thought it was just like that so I managed to put the gas in

First off DO NOT START your car again. You need to get the Diesel outta the tank. You can either remove the tank or have it sifined out. Then with NO GAS in the tank start it back up to run any fuel in the lines/motor out till it dies. Get your self a bottle of good Complete Fuel System Cleaner(Wal Mart or any auto parts store) pour that down the tank along with some unleaded. Hopefully its not to far between the gas station and your Dads. The furter you went the more rick you'll have of damage. I'd say as long as you didn't have to travel 10-15 miles or more you shouldn't have done any real damage. Good Luck

dont worry about it, but if you keep doing it it will mess up the engine

dont do it again

Your scenario would be impossible as diesel pump "fittings" are not the same size as unleaded pump fittings. A diesel pump fitting is about a half inch wider, thus, it will not fit into an unleaded tank. Impossible.
