Adrian Peterson tore his ACL near the end of last season. Amazingly, he may very well be ready for Week 1. The superstar running back for the Minnesota Vikings is officially listed as a game-time decision.
Said Leslie Frazier, Vikings head coach: “We’ve got a lot of things we want to get done with him this week, and I doubt that we would know without getting him through an entire week, if we thought he was ready to play a game.”
If you ask Adrian Peterson, he thinks he’s going to play.
Said Peterson: “My goals are still the game. I look forward to being back the first week.”
The Vikings will probably play it safe and not rush Adrian Peterson back if he’s not 100% healthy. Then again, it’s difficult to keep a player like Adrian Peterson on the sidelines.
