I'm 14, and I have started to think of an idea for a novel. Is 14 too young to be writing one? I always write a couple chapters or so of a novel but then quit because I think my ideas are bad and never finish them. Is there any way to get constructive criticism on my work without like going to a workshop or something? I'm also having trouble coming up with my own ideas. I always take bits and pieces of ideas from other stories. Like, for instance, I read Harry Potter and then started to write about a girl that went to a school kind of like Hogwarts. Is this a bad thing? And, would it be best to type my story, or write it by hand? If I finish my novel, how would I go about getting it published? Thanks :)
