I've been trying to find a job for 3 years now. I haven't worked since 2000. I quit working when I got pregnant and I've been a stay at home mom ever since.
Now my son is in 5th grade, and I am wanting to get back into the work force. I've had employers tell me they wouldn't hire me because I haven't worked in so long.
I've come close to lying on applications and putting friends down as my previous boss. I did have an interview a few weeks ago at a local video store. Needless to say I didn't get it either.
Work at home jobs don't work for me, I'm not a salesman. I bombed at selling Mary Kay. I spent more than what I earned.
As much as I love my husband, I have even thought of separating just so I can get help from the government. It's a shame that you can get more help while single than when your married.
So my question is, what should I do? Any tips for me?
