I have a mate who has recommended the following system (Spec B), based on purchasing the parts separately and fitting the system together - and I'd like some help comparing it with another specification which he recommends should I want to buy the system already set up (Spec A).
Spec A can be found at:
http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/mega_sales_III/
Price: £419 inc VAT
Spec B (which my mate will help me set up):
AM3 Motherboard (will hold up to 16GB of DDR 3 ram)
AMD Athlon II X2 240 (2.8GHz),
2 x 1GB of DDR3 ram 1800Mhz,
GeForce GTX 260 GS
320GB hard drive
plus case, cooling, PSU (a good one) and optical drive.
He says all these parts have been recommended by Custom PC magazine so they''re not rubbish.
Price: £401.98 inc VAT
He says he could swap the processor for a Phenom II X4 620 2.6GHz for between £25-£30 extra.
Advice please and many thanks in advance.
