I agree with it wholeheartedly, and am sorry it took them this long to do it!
I was a Military Training Instructor from 1982-1986, and at that time there was nothing like this during BMTS. This type of training was left to the individual bases to conduct, and the end result of that was non-standardized training. This non-standardization showed its face during Operation DESERT STORM; I know, I was there to see it first-hand.
BEAST training appears to be a very accurate depiction of what life at a deployed location is like, especially the part about all of the gear you have to wear/carry with you at all times. That's the way it is in a real life deployment location, kiddies!
