...deleted from my hard disk...? This directory (500GB) consisted of may sub directories, and was itself a subdirectory. When I examine the disk space used on that particular hard disk I notice that the same amount of disk space is being used as before the scandisk accident. With out resorting to data recovery software, some of which will recover the lost data, is there a safe way to reverse scandisk's "emergency" procedure(Windows XP sp3) of deleting that subdirectory?
The subdirectory was "unreadable", but I presume that I should have been given the option to move the files to new directories to lessen the load on that particular directory table (FAT32). Any ideas?
