Hi all.
I have a 4 1/2 month old male Jack Russell/Dachshund mix. I rescued him as a stray when he was 3 weeks old and bottle fed him up until he was 8 weeks old. He is a good dog but lately he has become very aggressive, territorial, and he marks my room. If I try to rub sun screen on his stomach before he goes outside, he growls and tries to bite. If I move when he is sleeping next to me, he bites me. He also dominates my other dogs. When he is in my room he will mark various places in my room. I've scrubbed everything down and sprayed it with Odoban, but he still continues to mark. He has also taken to mounting his toys and humping for either dominance or for pleasure, I'm not sure anymore.
I have talked to the vet about getting him neutered, but the vet is having me wait until he is 6 months old. I would really like this territorial issue and marking to stop.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this territorial behavior and aggression? It is driving me crazy!
