Air travel - Boise, ID to Fort Lauderdale, FL?

I will be cruising over Thanksgiving 2012. I have been watching airfares from Boise to Fort Lauderdale (Miami is more $$ to fly into). The fares have been from $900-$1000 recently (even using flexible flying dates). Today I purchase a flight through USAir for under $700. I can't decide if I should book it! Southwest fares for November aren't available until June 2. For those of you savvy on purchasing airline tickets, should I purchase today or wait...? Oh, and I plan on traveling to FLL on a Thursday (11/15) and returning on a Tuesday (11/27) so those days of the week aren't generally the highest ticketing price days.

I would love to hear some advise... Thanks!
 
book the flight on say oct 31to november 2
southwest doesnt charge to change the flights
