Thoughts on buying a 2005 Alfa Romeo 147, what to look out for, how are these cars, also a proton gen 2, these any good thanks

Like any modern car, if it's been looked after it should be OK.
Despite whet the pub bores will tell you Alfas are no worse reliability wise than a lot of other modern cars, except the Japanese who always do well in the reliability surveys.

The important thing is to get it checked out thoroughly for signs of careful ownership, or signs that it may have been neglected. Alfas don't take kindly to being run on a shoestring so check it's been serviced.

I can't believe someone is considering an Alfa Romeo OR a Proton though.....
