All car audio enthusiasts! Listen up!?

I am fairly new to car audio btw,
first time buying any gear,
ok my shopping cart is...

Head Unit - Alpine (iDA-X305S)
Speakers - 2 X Alpine (SPX-17PRO) (front and back)
Speakers Amplifier - Alpine (PDX-4.150)
Subwoofer - 1 X Alpine Type R 15'' (SWR-1542D) or (SWR-1544D) (ported)
Subwoofer Amplifier - Alpine (PDX-1.1000)

Alright... I'm a sound quality guy more than anything, but i have heard the 15'' type R and like it better than the 12'' type Xs.

So... my problem is what Ohms do i buy my single 15'' at? please help this is the only thing holding me back on purchasing it all.

and also another problem... if i decide i want another 15'' do they have to be the same Ohms, i'm really confused so please help?

thanks, james.
oh btw my car...

just type in "1999 commodore" in google images

man i dont know what your talking about ohms. that is the measure of resistance of the conductor. what you need to look at is watts, and mainly the rms. go to like best buy and talk to those guys they will help ya out...

Well the PDX1000.1 is stable @ both 2 & 4ohms. The RMS wattage produced by this amp remains constant so I recomend this. Buy the DVC 2ohm version and wire it up to 4ohms. If you decide you would like another sub later on, you would buy another DVC 2ohm version and this would allow you to wire both the subs to 2ohms. Luckily for you, this amp puts out constant wattage, which means you can really purchase either version, as long as the final impedance is 2 or 4 ohms.
Just a thought, if you decide to get a second sub, you may want to consider powering these subs with different amps. As 1 type r 15 needs around 750watts rms. If you put two subs on one PDX 1000.1 you will only be giving them about 2/3 of the ideal rms wattage.
So yeah, nice setup, get the 2ohm version.

for 1 DVC 2ohm sub:

for 2 DVC 2ohm subs:
